Welcome to ResumeAI (“we”, “us”, “our”), a free online resume builder. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. The service

ResumeAI lets you create, edit, preview, and export professional resumes and download them as PDF files, including through templates and AI-assisted writing. The service is provided free of charge, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time.

2. Accounts

You can use the service with or without an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. You must provide accurate information and you may not use another person’s account.

3. Your content

You own the resume content you create. You are solely responsible for it and for making sure you have the right to include any information about other people (for example, references).

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and transmit your content as needed to provide the service — including sending it to our AI provider to generate or improve your resume, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not claim ownership of your resumes and we do not use them to build competing products.

You must not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or that violates anyone’s privacy. You may not use the service to impersonate others or to create fraudulent documents.

Some resume content is generated by artificial intelligence models. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated, and it may include unsupported claims. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any AI-generated content before using it, and for ensuring your final resume is truthful and appropriate for the application you are making. The service is a tool, not a career advisor or a guarantee of employment outcomes.

6. Intellectual property

The service itself — including the software, design, templates, and branding — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Your use of the service does not transfer any ownership to you. You may use the templates to build your own resumes, but you may not redistribute or resell them.

7. No warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim (which, for a free service, is zero).

You may stop using the service at any time and delete your resumes. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, and we may remove content that breaches them. You can request deletion of your account and data by contacting us (see below).

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, these Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your place of residence, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of your place of residence.
